Is it Easter Yet?

I won't lie to you - I love Easter for purely selfish reasons - I get an extra day off of work and get to spend it with family. So today I woke up thinking is it Easter yet? I'll be counting down the days! The only thing that always scares me is the day before and the day after Easter... people run into my store in a panic! It's okay I want to reassure them... it was only one day! We will open again... believe me!

Do you guys remember that summer when we had that major power outage - everyone was told not to go to work - it just wasn't worth it because there was no power. And to stay home where it was safe because there were no traffic lights and it just wasn't safe driving in those conditions? Well.... I HAD to go to work, trek my way down to Yorkdale - Ick! We sat outside waiting until Security told us that we wouldn't be able to open. Do you know how many cars drove up to us to ask when we were opening? Holy cow! Maybe it's because I work in retail... but on my days off the last place I want to be is the mall! And when I actually went home I played Scrabble (TTN buddies - I didn't score anything past 150 for the game! :)) with my husband. Nice, relaxing - no mall! :)

Sorry... I don't know where that came from!

So this weekend I'm going to be reading book 'A'... so excited! It looks sooooo good! What are guys up to this weekend?

I can't wait for Easter, but my reasons are all about the chocolate :)

I wasn't here for the big power outage, but I heard it was BRUTAL!

I think it's even more special when you get to see family you haven't seen in a very long time... enjoy it Christine!

Wylie - I can't believe that I didn't even think about the chocolate! :) I must be broken today! And yeah, that power outage was no fun!

I love easter, can't wait for the LONG weekend.

As for the big power outage, I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Brianna, living in an apartment with no Ac or barbeque. It was crazy, I had to climb stairs in the dark feeling my way like some crazy blind person so I didn't trip and fall with my big pregger belly.

LOL @ "buttcrack of dawn!"

I wish I could say I'm doing a lot of writing this weekend, but I'm not, at least not yet. Been doing housework, big whoop. I swear, laundry multiplies like bunny rabbits (but not Easter bunnies).
