Emotional Gemini

My super duper late post.

I spent the entire day completely engrossed in my characters. The story I'm working on right now is a suspense romance, in it my heroine's father dies. Today was his funeral.

So many things happen at the funeral I couldn't pull myself away. I got so into it I actually cried at one point. Not like boo hoo hoo! Just a couple of shed tears. But still. Maybe it's just me - I'm a Gemini - we get a little emotional. But does anyone else get so engrossed in their characters that they feel their pain? Or am I just crazy?

Oh, I TOTALLY get engrossed in my characters AND have cried like a freaking lunatic when they were emotionally wrought. I thought it was just me -- I thought I was insane! Thanks for validating my lunacy!
Definitely take your mom to M.O.L. Don't wear mascara (you'll only cry it off).

And thanks for stopping by my blog!!
See you in Feb.

I get very involved with my characters and books that really hook me in.

You and Wylie are not crazy at all. Characters speak in my head all the time.

Thank you!

I know it's good to get envoloved in your characters, but all my friends think I'm nuts when they find out I follow their emotions.
But then again, their not writers, so just about everything I do gets categorized into the crazy pile - or just what is officially called the special pile for people like me. :)

Thanks guys, if anything I won't hide my tears anymore. I'll cry freely whenever I feel like it. :) Be one with the character.

I also get very emotionally involved with my characters. It's hard, but I think in the end it means that our characters are more believable.

I also find myself lusting after my hero on occasion. My husband gets nervous when I ask him to put something strange on...was that TMI?

...but does your hubby comly? If so, any tips on how I can make mine dress in a white puffy shirt and shiny black boots?

Vicky - I'm also glad I'm not the only one on the 'special pile'!

Nope, you're not crazy at all -- well, if you're crazy, then I'm crazy, too! :)

I get wrapped up in my characters' lives I get happy at their triumphs, misty eyed over their tribulations, and sometimes they blab at me so much at night it's hard to get to sleep, drat 'em! ;)

Thanks for blogrolling me -- big smile. :-D And right back atchya!

Oh guys!

Thank you for making feel normal! Well, at least normal in the writer's group! :)

And umm... Wylie what exactly are you trying to get him to dress as?

Of course he complies! I have a wide array of eye patches, tight leather pants, scuba gear...
