Meep! Meep!

I don't want to jinx it... but I have to say it!

I am zooming through this ms! I don't know if it's because for the first time I'm not using an outline, or if it's just that I love the story... whatever it is I hope it happens with every ms after this one.

I know all the writer's are laughing at me because they know that it's rare, but I can hope! I can dream! And I can cross my fingers! Surely that has to count for something! :)

It could also have been that crayon thing. I don't sit around looking for the perfect word. Going through my bazillion page Writer's Thesaurus (If you have one, you know exactly what I'm talking about!) I just write. I'll fix my terribly chosen words later.

It's not perfect. I know that. Heck... I still don't know what to write in my synopsis because I still don't know how it's going to end. I've killed off character's I hadn't planned on killing. I made bad guys into good guys and vice versa. I pretty much have no idea what's going to happen - which is a first for me. But at least it's going, and will get done. Maybe even in the next month! :)

So just wanted to shout out to the writing god's - whoever you are - whatever I did to deserve this wonderful ms - I love you! :) Now if you could only get someone to buy it that would be great... you know... if you're not too busy and get a chance. :)

I have to add this too... it could be that I've been blogging. Maybe it's opened my mind or a creative worm hole that has been blocked by the nonsense that I clearly need to say daily. So on that note... thank you to all my blogging buddies. :)

I was the same way with my first, pouring over ever word etc., You want to know a freeing experience, sign up for National Novel Writing Month in November next year. The TRW has a sub group NaNoCrazies which is a message board cajoling and inspiring all NaNoers through the agonizing month of writing a 50K manuscript in 30 days. Starting Nov 1 from scratch. I did it in 19 days (50K). It took me 2 years with my first manuscript, since I did NaNo I can pump out a first draft in a couple of months because that is what revisions are for.

I know that blogging has certainly helped me!!
It helps build a confidence in typing as you think,... I think!

And it's fun.

Amy - I found out about NaNo in December. I could have kicked myself! I would have loved something like that! Now I have to wait an entire friggin' year.

November will never come! It's like waiting for Christmas. :)

Wylie - It is fun! I've really enjoyed talking to so many people. Getting to know them has been wonderful.

Blogging is great. It keeps my creative juices going, forcing me to think about my writing, what I'm doing with it and where it's going.

Plus you guys are cool!

Vicky, my husband had a little accident last night, so I wasn't able to do the meme. I'll post it tonight. :)

That's fabulous, Vicky! It's hard to beat that wonderful feeling a writer gets when a story is rocking and rolling.

And yes, blogging, as Wylie said, is a great confidence builder, and a heck of a lot of fun, too. :)
